The moment I saw this design I wanted to do it, I updated this costume many times in attempt to get it right and make it better. Had all the things I love; the color blue, military-look, corsets, thigh highs. This design is 100% awesome.

I tried to keep as close to the anime character sketch as I could. Laurie helped me with the pattern and this time we had a bit more luck with the puffy sleeves. The gloves were a complete pain and we ended up buying garden gloves that were still too large for my hands. Lesson learned from doing the black bar on the thigh highs: never hot glue anything to fabric while you’re wearing it. |

TThis was such a wonderful costume to wear; the highlight was meeting the creator of Chrono crusade at Anime Boston. Not only did he say I was the ‘official’ Rosette in his eyes, but he also presented me with a wonderful Rosette sketch. It is one of my most treasured art pieces. |
