There are a lot of small details to this costume that I would love to touch on.
-The wig was inspired by someone’s artwork which looked like it was modeled after samurai hair style.
-The horns are sculpted off a cast of my head and the hand off a cast of my own hand, since we had to scale everything down.
-The costume was purchased pieces that have been altered for the character, such as removing the sleeve on the right side and adding clasps.
-Purchased an old girl scouts badge sash, and reused to along the sleeve and added old badges and pins we liked.
-We purchased a flask and had the BPRD logo etched onto it as well as a cross and water drop (holy water).
- The revolver has a cross, a maple leaf (because I’m from Canada), and a goldfish on the hilt.
- Used a wooden Hair pin that I got as a gift in Kyoto.
- The holster, which you can’t see, is actually attached to my back.
- We cut a hole in the back of the plaid skirt to make room for the tail.
- The tail is made out of foam that was pumped into a mold , but there is also a thick wire in it so we can move it around a bit., but not snap the foam.
- The socks are Japanese school girl socks, with a princess pirate patch.
-I wear a body suit with the outfit because we did try to do a full airbrush and it just took to much time. With the body suit, all I need to do is airbrush my face. |
